Mowbrays Moans

I must stay - its stuck in my craw somewhat - every time Ive heard it said or alluded to that Mowbray is struggling cos he has been left with essentially what is 'Strachan’s team', or that he hasn’t been able to get in 'his players' or 'his team'.
As if in someway he has been dealt a short hand and has been harshly treated
Mowbray has publicly stated he needs more money and we have to increase our budget if we want to improve.
Never heard Gordon ever complain about the hand the Celtic hierarchy dealt him.
And it wasn’t the strength of Gordon’s squad that was his downfall - it was his failure/stubborness to change or play the 'right' player (and his downright Stubborness to change his attitude)

Anyway - the following Herald article really backs that up…..

GORDON STRACHAN has hit back at Tony Mowbray’s claims that his former players do not have the quality needed to cut it at Celtic.
Strachan has been unveiled as the new manager of Middlesbrough – his first job since quitting the Parkhead hotseat at the end of last season.
The man who spent four seasons in charge of The Hoops has rubbished his replacement’s scathing assessment of the players he left behind in the East End of Glasgow.
Mowbray has repeatedly criticised the pool he inherited since he arrived in Scotland from West Brom in the summer.
The Englishman has stated he could need to buy up to 10 players during the January transfer window.
That has increased the possibility of Strachan, who became the first Celtic manager since Jock Stein to win three titles in a row, of moving in for some of them himself.
Asked about Mowbray’s comments, Strachan said: "Yes, I’m surprised because there are some terrific players at that football club.
"I don’t want to comment on what Tony might have said but I will say this, I used to go to training and think to myself ‘I love watching this’.
"I loved watching some of these boys paying the game.
"I loved the boys with technical ability – the McGeadys, Maloneys, Nakamuras and Browns.
"I was so lucky to have so many good players to work with over my time there.
"In fact, I would set up the training sessions knowing fine well I couldn’t wait to watch it or coach it.
"It was a pleasure to be on the same training pitch as these guys.
"These are good players and good men.
"I loved working with these guys every day."
