Celtic 1 - Hibs 2

McGeady ran into traffic every time he had the ball (like he did against Falkirk) then looked exasperated that there was no pass on. I'll put it down to the rest of the team underperforming. but It cant go on. Top players are players than teams rely on when everyone else is playing gash.

However the ‘strikers’ aren’t helping.

Aidens beaten two players on the wing, the centre half comes across, he looks up to cross into the box, neither fortune or samaras are anywhere to be seen, McGinn trying to steal in by the full back and centre halves to win an unwinnable header - No on from the strikers not at all.

At least with McDonald you know what you do and dont get.

Ki should start next week.

Look at Rooney - dont think anyone else at Utd have kicked a ball in 2010 - but he has kept them from falling behind. McGeady should be doing that in the scottihs league

Aye Brown NcGuemo might bring more steel and hopefully urgency. But we need to offer something different.

Im not saying sack Mowbray. Anyway - if things keep going like this - he will walk away at the end of the season. He is an honourable type of guy i think, i imagine he would know if it just wasnt working out.

I like a lot about Mowbray - but I think there is more wrong than just not taking our chances. We dont hunt in packs, we dont create the right sort of chances, we seem easy to break down. There are no leaders, no one to fear, no consistency.

I think Mowbray can turn it around - but dunno if he will

I hated having Strachan - but if he had stayed we would probably be top of the league

One of my main gripes with Mowbray is his substitutions. At times they just end up mental leaving the team with no balance. Mind the McGeady for Naylor away in Hamburg, Last night to take off McGinn when we were going for a goal seemed mental to me

Id have taken off sammy - put mgeady off a striker -

But was just on the back of mcginn stealing in at the backpost which he was unlucky not to score (there wasnt meany times you caould said that about any of our players over the 90 mins) - so just made me think - we are taking off a threat

Id rather Lambo and Lenny in charge – then we’d win 10 in a row

Cyclical

Personally I dont get the whole doom and gloom surrounding the scottish game. These things tend to go in cycles. In our lifetime weve seen poorer teams and poorer european campaigns. We have risen the expectations with managers such as O'Neill, Strachan, Smith, and McLeish really doing exceptionally well.

Either way - if the premiership implodes the likes of Fletcher, and McCarthy would have stayed in the SPL at either their current club or Celtic or Rangers would have gone for them as the Burnleys and Wigans of this world would be playing their own young talent rather than offering those exorbatent wages and signing on fees that lure these boys down there. However, if the EPL/sky manage to work on the government to make footballers exempt from normal tax rates to compete with la liga, then the recent upturn in the number of British players forcing there way into EPL starting line ups will slide back and we'll see even more foreigners again

Celtic 1 - Falkirk 1

Most players played part of their game well and part poorly. Except Naylor and O'Dea (who looks like he has comeback from Reading a cross between caldwell and Mcmanus). Zhi started well and Ki was pretty good througout. Was happy that we played a formation that allowed McGeady to play in 'the hole' although it was the poorest ive seen the mercurial 'irishman' all season. Crosas was good and pretty steady but culled in one of Tonys odd substitutions. Although having McGinn and McCourt on when chasing the game was probably the right move, why bring on McGinn for Crosas only to put him as a makeshift rightback by taking off Hinkel for McCourt 5 minutes later. No one looked sure of the formation or where they should be towards the end which to me looked a main reason why we didnt look like scoring again.

Strikers have decent attributes but given they like to roam so much - they are almost impossible to link up as a pair. And aye we might have got away with that if we had midfielders stealing into the box. But that was few and far between. McDonald has less pace, power, mobility, and touch/dribbling ability - but you know he will always be there for a cross/cut back. Holds his position, and gets infront of defenders. A big miss.

Ki Zhi and Crosas - all footballers and even if they sit deep - they are not destroyers in the way NGuemo defo is. Nguemo is a bit slack on the ball, but off it he is terriffic. A black lenny with pace - Godsent!

How do the fans not understand that they make the honest Naylor play much worse. He will run all day for you, is never played in when he should be. Often moves the team up 30-40 yards. But also has limitations. Its like watching someone be bullied, he goes more and more into his shell.

Thomson lookes like a young Bobo without pace
