Celtic 2 Rangers 1
A great team performance - first game this season Id say has really been won by any of our central midfield pairings.
However lots to work on for whoever is going to get the job on a permanent basis.
On tonights showing....
Boruc/Zalusca - Reliable
Hinkel - Shakey
O'Dea - Erratic
Wilson - Assured
Naylor - Motivated
Kamara - Laboured
Brown - Energetic
N'Guemo - Solid
McGeady - Ineffective
Fortune - Wasteful
Keane - Anonymous
I wouldnt pay more than 1million for Kamara. Even at that I wouldnt really want him
Fortune is truely awful regardless of how hard he works or what attributes he does have.
Wilson may well be an answer to our centre half issues.
O'Dea goes from being very commanding to unsure on a minutely basis. You can see their is a good defender in there - and is solid for the most part. But he just gives fowards too much of a chance far too often.
Keane was as poor as he’s been - to be fair to him, neither Kamara nor Fourtune can do anything early or without taking about 10 touches. He showed for passes all night - particularly when he was left up alone but didnt think he was in dangerous positions when we broke as a team.
And we didnt get McGeady involved anyhting like enough - in the first half they were backing off him so much when he had the ball - you could physically see their fear.
